ESOL
 
You will study the English Language in real-life situations such as: going shopping, going to the G.P or hospital, visiting your child's school and helping with school work, visiting the job-centre, or making an emergency call for example a plumber or an electrician.

You will be taught by qualified tutors and teaching methods will include individual, pair and group work.  There will be role plays, discussions and presentations.  The lesson will improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in English.

The length of the course is one year and the course consists of three terms (each followed by an exam.)

* September to December - Speaking and Listening
* January to April - Reading
* May to July - Writing

You can join the course at any time of the year!

Entry Requirements

You must be 19+ to study on this course. There are no specific qualifications that you need. You will be assessed at enrolment to ensure that you are on the correct course that suits your needs.

You will be able to progress onto the next level of ESOL once you have successfully completed your course. Further if your English Language skills are at a higher level, you may be able to join a vocational courses.
